publication | accessibility

The Cincinnati Art Museum was in need of a redesign of their member magazine with accessibility at the forefront. The new approach to design concentrates on open pages for ample white space. One of the main requests was to increase the point point size without reducing the word count of each article. Separating images out of the body of copy allowed for clarity of expected content and kept the line length at the ideal character count as well as allowed ample space for articles to retain their previous word counts. Lastly the magazine needed the beautiful artwork front and center. By utilizing full page images and flowing white space, the artwork images liven the magazine.
